St. Patrick’s Day falls on Thursday this year, and frankly, I’m not sure if that’s a blessing or a curse. On one hand, if you have some expendable vacation days, you can ditch out of the office early on Thursday, drink green beer and Irish whiskey until you blackout, and then take Friday off for a three day recovery weekend. But if vacation time is at a premium, you’ll have to resign yourself to being stuck in your cubicle all day Thursday, refreshing ESPN to get the March Madness scores while you chow down on the shamrock sugar cookies Sheila the Office Mom brought in. And then Friday…well, let’s just say there’s nothing worse than being at work with a St. Patrick’s Day hangover.
Whether you spend the day drinking until you think you’re Irish or chained to your desk wishing for a pot of gold, here’s a playlist of St. Paddy’s Day appropriate tunes to get you through.
If the embedded playlist isn’t working with your device, look no further than the direct Spotify link.
However you end up spending St. Patrick’s Day, here’s hoping you wind up as senseless as these guys at some point..
Brian loved playlists.
This is exactly the kind of info I’m looking for, gonna kill it at happy hour now. Good looking out, 2NotBrokeGirls.
I work for the people.
The people appreciate you.
Seconded. Clutch.
One day I’ll be at karaoke bar and that karaoke bar will offer “Dirty Glass”. I’ll get on stage and as the song begins there will be a female who knows the female parts to the song. That female and I will be best friends forever.
And that’s how he met his wife – my dream for you.
Beer Beer Beer might be best song on this list, although The Clancy Brother’s version is better
“Body of an American” was always my go-to Pogues song. Yes, it’s because of The Wire. Mighty impressive list, regardless.
Great playlist. Only complaint: no Body of an American by The Pogues
“One Last Drink” by Enter the Haggis is also a song perfect for today.
