As I’ve gotten older, I’ve also found that I’m not as interested in shots anymore. I’ll still do them on occasion but will absolutely refuse stuff like Fireball, which always helps the morning after.
I’ve been playing trumpet in an orchestra for the past 3 years every other Wednesday. It kept me sane during law school, and is a great way for me to still keep my skills sharp.
I’ve been noticing that invitations increasingly ask if you’re bringing a plus one to avoid this problem. Also, depending on the size of the family, there may not be enough room for everyone to bring a plus one, unless you’re in a serious relationship.
Having drama reduction as a goal is basically the same as someone saying they don’t do drama. The lack of self-awareness is astounding, yet unfortunately not surprising.
I feel nauseous just reading about playing beer pong with Fireball. At the very least, it’s refreshing to see that guy had loyal friends who were willing to travel so far to find him.
I’ve always thought that Myer-Briggs personality types are the modern-day astrology and horoscopes, especially when used in dating profiles. Completely BS, especially when multiple studies have discredited it.
Todd’s parents really showed their true colors by being so rude and condescending to the waiters, and enabling Todd and Girl’s relationship. Shame Todd doesn’t seem to have anyone looking out for his best interests anymore.
Scheduling networking lunches while you’re unemployed is great. You not only look like you have initiative to the other person who may have job leads, you also sometimes get a free lunch out of it. Win-win all around.
Good luck, you got this! You know more than you think, so take some time today to relax, and prepare for the storm to come the next 2-3 days, depending on your state.
Great take. The only thing worse than people complaining about GOT who don’t watch the show are the book readers who try to dump on the show every chance they get to seem superior to show-only viewers. While I’ve read the books, I acknowledge they’re two separate things, based on each version’s media limitations. It’s depressing that a lot of people can’t seem to get out of the high school mindset.

Thinking vaccines can give dogs autism may be the only think that beats thinking leather isn’t made of animals in terms of pure stupidity.

What does Jordan do that he’s able to go on 2 international vacations in 1 month? Most likely may be “still looking for work,” like Girl.
I don’t think it’s that unpopular an opinion that the Big Bang Theory is awful.
You sold me with the cheese spiral and zero taxes. Time to plan a road trip out to Delaware!

“What’s the Matter with Kansas?” Looks like we can add not liking a cultural icon to the list.

If I’m even half that energetic and have that much of a zero fucks given attitude at that age, I know I’ll have done something right. Goals.
If it’s been less than a month, try sending follow-up emails! That usually does the trick for most companies.

Oh, didn’t mean to direct it at you. More about the topic in general, and people who are generally like that. Definitely called for in your case.
As I’ve seen, truly smart people don’t need to go around showing how smart they are to people. No true king ever has to say they’re the king.
You had me at healthcare, free lunch and booze.
