It’s incredibly rare that a website curates a large, eclectic group of people from all walks of life. PGP was one of the few sites to do it. Much has been touted about the community, but it wouldn’t have been possible without wonderful articles to read over the past 6 years. Thanks, everyone, and I can’t wait to see what you do next!
When I first started reading this site more than 5 years ago, I had recently graduated from college and the future seemed uncertain and terrifying. Since then, I moved to a new city, became licensed to practice law in two different states, and made some unforgettable friends from an unassuming (at the time) website called PGP. Through all of these experiences, PGP was there and seemed to grow up with me. Thanks for the wonderful community, laughs and memories.
Honestly, if the kids told the adults about it, no one would believe them. It also forms the basis for the plot in probably 90% of kid’s movies in the 80s and 90s.
The only thing tougher for me to accept over the post-grad years than change itself has been understanding what I can and cannot change. Keep on writing. More than ever, I think we need that different perspective.
Counterpoint about the breadcrumbing: I think it entirely makes you a terrible person if you intend to just lead people on and play with people’s hopes and expectations. Just be honest with each other and say you’re not into it.
Ah, 3Lol. If you have a job already, you’ll never have so much free time again. Otherwise, putting in the time to hustle now and network will pay dividends once you graduate.

The amount of mental energy both Girl and Caroline spend on each other is both exhausting and impressive.
The second-hand anxiety is off the charts. Great job, Will.

Law firms are absolutely the worst about this. This is why I use a recruiter now. HR and recruiting will never ghost if you use a recruiter.
To the undergrad architecture student: as much as college ages you, depending on where you work, it will age you even more.
I really think telling someone to kill themselves is an extreme, and always inappropriate, reaction.

Never thought I’d see the day where I actually feel a little sorry for Girl.

Madoff is a national treasure and we’re incredibly lucky to have him as a writer for this site.

Nived: the hero we need. Also, Naked Lunch is an excellent book.
Narrator: Todd did not, in fact, make it back for kickoff.
No worse way to spike interview anxiety than an interviewer starting off with “tell me about yourself.”
This would be a good opportunity to take 3 day weekends for the rest of the year and catch up on your tv backlog.

I’ve gotten hammered at an aquarium before. Can confirm it’s pretty neat.
Odds Ninja calls his wife “Mother” behind closed doors: pretty high.
He’s actually written (although infrequently) since 2014. Check them out!
