All of your failures with women flashing before your eyes? I struggle to understand the challenge behind men or women at a bar where nearly everyone is some level of intoxicated and many people share a common goal of getting laid that night or at least in the foreseeable future. You are literally set up to succeed.
When I was single I approached randos all the time. That’s how I met my current boyfriend and the boyfriend before that and probably 60-70 percent of my one night stands. In general I find it annoying to be approached by guys, if I’m trying to get laid, I’ll get myself laid. Most guys try to approach girls with pick up lines or other weird try-hard shit and that just instantly turns my vag into the Sahara. Almost all of my friends hit on dudes on the regular, so if you’re not ever being approached by women you may need to get some female friends to help you with your look
Not surprised by how foul some of these comments are, but I am glad that a dude on this website attempted to approach this topic with humanity. The irony of empowered sex work is that usually it’s women that are privileged enough to be able to choose that line of work that feel empowered by it. To me that’s not really worth covering extensively the way that media outlets have been doing.
There are certainly no hippies in the marina. No actual SF people like or go to the marina. It’s all trust fund basic chicks in lulu and sloppy frat dudes with thick necks. But that Safeway is actually legendary (literally) for hook ups if you’re a marina person.
Personally I don’t like being hit on in any situation where I’m just trying to go about my business. Women are already hit on in basically every fathomable situation–commuting, doing laundry, grocery shopping, and it’s rarely a pleasant experience ( at least for me). Bars and shit are fair game but i just want to get my chores done in peace.
There is no such thing as a useless degree, except, perhaps, a degree in a field that you selected solely to land you a job you hate that makes you dumber and less interesting every day. College is not trade school. You’re there to get an education not a job.
It can be hard to start you career right after college, mostly because you probably haven’t figured out what you want to do with your life. No shame in taking a service job to make ends meet and figure it out. But It is super fucked up and gross for the writer to assume that she is smarter than everyone there because she has a degree. These days, unfortunately, anyone who can finance it can get a degree. It’s not an indicator of intelligence in the slightest.
Sorry, but I find basic people insufferable. Basics pay too much for things that aren’t high quality. Mediocre brunches, concert tickets where the artist sounds exactly like they do on the radio so what is even the point of seeing them live, tourist trap vacations etc. To basics, hipster is a essentially a term for people that actually like nice things, good quality music that isn’t just mass produced synths, good beers, well made timeless clothing etc.
The feminist movement is about giving women the power to choose. It’s gone askew and been commodified with corporations basically telling women to be more like men and the only way to be successful is to have more quantifiable power. If the idea of climbing the corporate ladder gets you going work towards that. If the idea staying home and running the household is exciting to you, work towards that. That goes for both men and women. The women’s empowerment movement aims to give women the power the be free thinking.
banning a user of a dating app for being abusive toward another user actually isn’t “excessive,” it’s appropriate. This is an app that is designed to facilitate in person meet ups and this guy is verbally abusive out the gate, seemingly unprovoked.
Hate to bust up into the misogynist apologist club, but some might say being called a whore and a gold digger is pretty damn offensive. And by “some” I mean pretty much anyone with a modicum of decency. Let’s not forget that all she did was try to start a conversation with him. Not sure what you guys would deem “all that offensive” but it’s probably illegal in Canada and most Scandinavian countries.
The comments lol. Honestly I only come here to remind myself that this level of banal and tedious “masculinity” still exists sans irony. It’s like watching a strange nature documentary, this tiny pocket of the internet where the Orlando massacre isn’t even worth mentioning, because why would you, when you could just bash women, and wax poetic about farting in a bar? Straight, white, male, and proud, aren’t ya?
Being a bridesmaid can suck. I’m basically a pretentious, introverted, snob that dresses like a witch year round and yet come June I’ll be running around Vegas in a pink bikini drinking from a dick straw dancing to pit bull. Why? Because I love my sister and seeing her happy to have all her best friends and family drinking from dicks is worth it. Not many women love being a bridesmaid (it’s a strange form of prolonged torture), but if you love the bride then it’s worth it. Although I will never understand the societal impulse to throw thousands of dollars at a one-day event, I understand that some people that I love will make this choice and I’ll be expected to participate.
My advice? If you have lots of close friends or siblings getting married, start a bridesmaid fund that you contribute to once or twice a month, cause that shit is expensive. Be honest with the bride from the beginning about how much you can spend and how much time you can commit to spending on wedding shit. For bridal events, get as drunk as possible as fast as possible, but not as drunk as the bride.
Nc could and should end up in the shitter if they don’t knock it off with that anti LGBQT shit. Total nonsense and an international embarrassment. My friends from North Carolina now say they’re from California when they travel overseas.
If you surround yourself with educated people you’ll most likely end up amongst a majority of “lefties” seeing as those that identify as liberal or liberal-leaning are more likely to have at least a college education than those that identify as republican
I’m alarmed that in a place that claims
to target an audience with college degrees you still encounter very underdeveloped reading comprehension skills. You tell me: Did I compare the act of ghosting to the act of raping? Did I mention any similarities between the emotional recovery of a person that has raped vs a person that has been ghosted? Because I could have sworn I just pointed out the bullshit of dudes claiming that a woman that is in someway not his ideal deserves disrespect….
That’s weird as fuck, is she ok? P.s. cool marriage. Sounds like you really considered the important stuff when entering that commitment.

A lot of women get increased sensitivity after nipple piercing. It’s less common to lose feeling

Wait, so not wearing make up=being a smelly, disheveled troll?
You cool with no health benefits?
Obamacare doesn’t promise you insurance through your employer…

Sounds like you want to end up somewhere with low IQs and high obesity rates….
