I’m concerned by all of you who think that credit card debt disappears when you die… your family just becomes responsible for it. Same with apartment leases.
Y’all seem to be forgetting that women like pretty things. It’s simple, but true. You will be giving your girl the prettiest thing she will ever have and she gets to wear it everyday. And it’s special that you are willing to spend so much money on something she knows you think is stupid.
Name change girl: this is not a unique dilemma to you. Almost every bride feels this way. Yes, you are giving up your identity, just like every other married woman. Dont feel like you have to make your decision now. I waited 8 months after getting married to change my name for this exact reason. Eventually i got tired of having 2 idenities: people calling me by one name, legally having another, and trying to remember who knows me by what name. Its possible that you will always want to keep your maiden name and thats fine, but you dont have to decide now. You actually have 2 years after your marriage date to change it without additinal paperwork. And a lot of professinal women are now making their maiden name their middle name and going by all 3 names (if Sarah Jessica Parker can have 3 names why not you?), that way they dont lose business.
This is not unique to NYC. It’s also true in the major Texas cities. I have personally witnessed people getting abducted off the street and no one even batted an eye (I did call the police, I’m a decent human) or step over the body of an unconscious rape victim rather than help. There are lots of garbage people everywhere.
PPIs reduce the amount of stomach acid you make. Remember that you make stomach acid for a reason (to break down your food so you can absorb it). Taking PPIs for too long could lead to malnutrition. If you start losing weight/hair/have dulling of the skin you need to get off of them.
I agree with this take, but don’t understand why you find it intolerable that an ice cream shop be more accommodating to people with food allergies (gluten and dairy free namely). Like sure we don’t need ice cream made from the milk of cows who are massaged 3 times a day and only eat organic grass, but it’s just good business to be able to sell something to people who are allergic to your only product.
Live your life as long as it makes you happy. When it doesn’t, change. When you find the right girl, you won’t want to blow her off to go hang out with your boys.
