What to tell the fiancée: don’t lie to her! Aside from the groom spending the night with a hooker, she probably won’t care. But if she finds out she’s been lied to, that could ruin the marriage.
If your high school make out is bothering you that much just tell him, I can’t imagine he’ll care. Just do it casually. If you make a big deal out of it, you will just make things awkward.
I almost always tried to stay friends with exes. They “get you” better than most friends, which is why you dated in the first place, so it’s a shame to cut someone like that out of your life. I also didn’t sleep with any of my exes, which may be the reason it was possible to remain friends.
Registry guy: be very careful going off registry. It may be the perfect gift for your boy, but if the Mrs doesn’t like it, it’s going to goodwill. Particularly if it takes up a lot of space.
Some do but not all. I’ve been to one where I was only allowed in the restaurant because all of the other facilities (gym, pool, bar, etc) were for men only.
Wouldn’t making it open to the public defeat the entire purpose of membership? The only part of this I agree with is upping focus on the gym. Millennials are big on fitness and a super great gym could itself be enough to bring people in. Also, making it open to women would be great too. Men who actually like their families aren’t going to want to spend all their time at a club that their wives can’t come to.
First guy: your friends doing coke will probably not be your friends anymore in 3 years. In college it’s no big deal to hang out with drug users while you just stick to your alcohol. But post grad your druggie friends are going to make new friends who also do drugs and slowly y’all will just move in different paths. Of course try to maintain yalls friendship, but prepare yourself and find some new friends who share your interests. It’s not worth the confrontation to get your coked out friends to change their lifestyle, it won’t work. In some professions it’s necessary to move up the ladder so you would essentially be trying to talk them out of their career.
Fitness guy: not sure why everyone is giving you so much crap. If health and fitness are a huge part of your life, yes it could cause problems in a longer term relationship if your partner eats fast food and doesn’t work out. That’s a huge misalignment of values. It doesn’t make you a douche to want a girl who values her body the way you do. It’s worth talking to her about becoming more involved in your “hobby”. Shared interests ARE important in a relationship. But this shouldn’t be about making her hot, just about sharing a lifestyle.
This is fine if you’re just hanging out with your friends at the bar, but don’t expect to take a lady home if you smell like sweat and lake water. It’s not the swimsuit that’s a problem, it’s not showering.
Bill Nye has obviously never had to work a service job for minimum wage or less. No one deserves to be on their feet for 13 hours a day constantly taking verbal abuse with a smile for $2/hr. People don’t wait tables because it’s their dream job, it’s often all they can get and they have to pay bills too. Is it shitty of restaurants to outsource paying their staff to the customer? Yes. But don’t take it out on the waiter.
And it’s like you can’t answer a direct question. I’m going to assume that last comment was just you trying to educate me on logical fallacies by providing a great example. How thoughtful of you.
I am doing no such thing, I’m referring specifically to what you said. Your point would have been better made if you told Tobias to adopt a dog himself rather than go take the dogs place on the euthanasia list.

You should read The Immortal Life is Henrietta Lacks. It’s a biography about a woman whose genes were stolen.

A little trip to Tiffany’s or Cartier is probably in your near future…

There’s always Houston traffic

So are you telling me that Tobias’ opinion does not differ from yours? Because if not I don’t see where you are pulling “straw man” from.

Then what exactly were you implying?
Calling for people with differing opinions to be euthanized. Classy.
