Am I the only one who entertained a “swat” rule? You could elect to bounce, but with the threat of it being swatted completely off the table. Essentially eliminated bounces.
Coming from a person who is chronically late: 20 minutes is absurd. I am consistently 5-10 minutes late for virtually everything, but 20 – without a text or other message? I would be too salty to shake off that annoyance, no doubt
This is a good example of one of the many, many reasons I would never get married to a fellow attorney. This cringeworthy abomination reflects poorly on us all.
Also, there is something seriously off about lawyers who don’t drink. That’s some low-key psycho shit.
Nope I’m the exact same way! This article plus “The Event That Must Not Be Named” which was in town this past weekend may have pushed me over the edge into another re-read…
Risky position to take, but well argued. Order of the Phoenix is bottom 2 favorites for me because it’s way too easy for me to go with Harry into his deep angst, and the significant loss he suffers at the end leaves you with a hopelessness that the other books don’t. You’re 100% right about the setup though, and I know it’s intentional and necessary, just not the most pleasant part of the journey for me 🙂
Not comparable, because the movies, while not entirely accurate as no movie can be, are wonderfully cast and beautifully done. There are no weak points in Harry Potter
My friend is 37 and had never read the books or seen the movies…she was instantly hooked and we have since been to HP World in Cali together. I’ll admit that she’s not AS into it as I am, but she definitely loves it!
Still rocking my $100 Goodwill couch and a recliner I inherited from my neighbor. Don’t know what a kitchen mixer is, don’t want to. The only major household purchase I’m considering right now is a bigger TV. Are we femaling wrong?
I reread about once every 18 months and have been getting the urge to do so again recently…this holiday is the perfect push for that. I’m also about to get a phoenix tattoo to accompany my own deathly hallows (on my wrist). I just visited the new HP world in LA – doesn’t hold a candle to the original in Orlando but still pretty great! Also I’m a day late to this party but didn’t need this amount of feels on a Tuesday either, excellent post and the comments here are fantastic.
“Of course it’s happening in your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it isn’t real?”
Recap was better than the show, as always. I live for these.
Side note: ladies, if you ever want a perfect example of a Narcissist and someone to be avoided and never, ever given a second chance and/or thought: study DeMario. And never forget a word of the bullshit he spewed.

Had to google what a “thirst trap” was. #PGP
Is there anything more satisfying than the first round of divorces?
Sup…oh wait

Filthy muggle was a nice touch here
It hurts so much. Especially when we manage to *almost* pull out a W against Bruce Arians of all people, only to fuck it up in OT.
Most of the teams in my league are not breaking 100 points. It’s abysmal.
Maybe because your other options are Scott Tolzien and Jacoby Brissett? It’s rough in Colts nation right now, guys.
Represent!
