I love my current vet and I use Nationwide Pet Insurance! I didn’t want to do Banfield because I’d lose the great local vet. I pay $26 a month and they approve any vet. It doesn’t cover our flea & tick but it covers emergency, general visits, shots, and prescribed medicine should your dog need it. There’s one for $40 a month that covers flea & tick.
It totally saved me from a $2,000 ER vet bill last week!
I lost my sister and best friend in a car crash before I started college- so a little earlier in life than where you’re at now- but I will go ahead and tell you that the grieving process takes time. My best advice is to try your best to continue moving forward while feeling everything you are. As other commenters have said, therapy is a great option- my therapist said “if you feel sad, just feel it, don’t push it away” and that goes with every feeling, as there’s no guilt in feeling happiness, etc.
Something that personally helped me a lot was I spent the following summer (a couple months for you) in a place where both my sister and my best friend didn’t really have in a part of their lives- so it was always just “mine.” If you can think of a trip you’ve always wanted to take or a place that’s always been solely yours, I’d recommend going there.
I was deathly afraid of spiders until I lived in a cockroach infested apartment for a month, in comparison to those fuckers that DO NOT DIE, spiders are like butterflies.
Best of luck/Keep a can of raid in every room of the house.
A trip to the mall and a nice impulse buy usually cures my hangover/sunday scaries all in one. Especially if I buy something that I can use to help cure the scaries.
My dad took up painting as a hobby and was awful at it- but this was while my brother was in college and I was in high school. My dad, not wanting to admit to my brother how awful he was at painting, went to Goodwill and picked up a $1 oil painting that he put on his easel so that when my brother came home from college saw what an amazing and naturally artistic painter my dad was. We then, hung the painting up in our dining room, my dad calls it a “one hit wonder” to my brother, and we have never told my brother the truth. So to this day- about 9 years later, my brother still talks about how my dad should take up painting again.
I usually grab Larry & Lenny’s Muscle Brownies (2 for $5 usually) when I want to really amp up my protein intake but still keep my chocolate intake the same. Each brownie has 20g of protein and while 1 brownie for $2.50 is expensive, these are super healthy and super chocolatey. The cookie’s n’ cream is my favorite!
Off work at 3. Might hit the cosmo nail bar and have myself a mani-pedi with a martini. It’s a weekend full of BBQ’s, pool days, and relaxation! Can’t wait!
Couldn’t agree more. I plateaued recently as a distance runner and decided that for the next few summer months I would switch up distance with short sprints, stadiums/stairs, and more of a weight training workout. Previously weights wise I was strictly a pilates girl (which I still enjoy and do, but it doesn’t make me sore) so switching to this new style of workout has definitely started making me sore again.
I figure I’ll plateau here and switch back- my workout logic is that if I’m not sore/seeing a difference, it’s time to switch it up.
Guy on my beer league came to the bar and said “he’s allowing himself one glass of wine for his daily calorie intake” and it was the biggest turnoff ever

The Holiday is my favorite movie but give me two classes of wine and I’m crying through the whole thing.
I got the friends because he got a new girlfriend.
I like beer and have never tried adding salt to it but now I want to out of sheer curiosity
To the friendships and loss of life,

Badminton should definitely be up there. It brings families together while simultaneously tearing them apart.
Date #2 with a new guy tonight. We’ll see how it goes!
Had what I think was a pretty good first date last night, so I’m reading this while waiting for a text. Wednesday scaries.

My boss is the opposite. She is a sneaky and stealth woman and doesn’t make a peep doing anything.

You calling it a “metro train” distracted me from the rest of the article..subtract the train part.
Definitely going to be tuning in now that I know about this. Thank you.
Soak Up The Sun just came on and I’m relating to the shitty job part
