Just curious what do you suggest wearing if you feel like showing support for your team? Do you have different rules for if its your alma matter or a professional team?
An IPA can be good, but the new ones coming out just seem like a hops arms race cramming as much hops into it as possible to distinguish theirs from the rest. Some of them just taste like you’re drinking weed.
So I had just moved to a midsize southern city and when out with my new roommate downtown for the first time. He brought a girl he was seeing at the time. Eventually she had too much to drink and they went home so I went to meet up with the 1 other person I knew in the city. The night came to a close, my wallet and sobriety were missing, but spirits were high. Being responsible call in an uber.
There was a sobriety check point a block before my place. I could see my apartment. This southern cop walks up to the window and taps his maglite on the glass, which noticeably irks my driver. Rolls the window down, and through a horseshoe of chaw, tell us that normally cabs pass right through but he was stopped because he had a tinted license plate cover over his plate (why the fuck is hat even a thing?! You’re just asking to get pulled over. He was from New York City. Is that a thing there? I’d believe it if it was.)
So the cop says he can smell alcohol, asks where we’re coming from, ect. I pipe up and say I’ve been drinking, and hired him to be responsible. Cop says ok, but this is a check point and to cover his end, he needs to test the driver just to be safe.
Driver gets out, and it’s been like 10 minutes before he gets back. I pass the time trying to find some tunes on his radio. Eventually the cop comes back and tells me the driver didn’t pass and I kid you not, “So are you cool to drive this thing?”
Oh yeah officer, I just told you I was drinking and I’m gonna take this guys car who I don’t know and be merrily on my way. I just admitted I was drunk. Are you going to pull me over in 10 feet and give me a Dewey as well?
So they brought the driver back to the car, he refunded my ride, and was put in the back of the car. I walked home.
No I didn’t go to uber about. I figured he’d be in enough trouble as it was. In all honesty he seemed like a nice guy. He said he was just watching game before starting driving to catch last call prime time and I guess he thought he was alright. We’ve all toed that line, probably not before going to work though.
I vote Republican because I identify with their fiscal values and small government idea. The economy is the most important thing, since money makes the world go round.
But I also agree that not allowing gays to get married is kind of hypocritical of their small government stance. Stay out of my straight personal life, including gays’ personal lives.
Good points Alcoholic, his article didn’t say anything about burning US flags but it’s been seen on media outlets. Didn’t mean to words in the authors mouth, my bad.
But showing up to the candidates party rally that doesn’t paint you in a good light by saying your country isn’t sending its best, and then start fighting supporters and being as disruptive as possible is only makes you further fit the candidates narrative. It’s counter-productive at best.
I too am a registered Republican but I’m not sure where my vote is going to go this year. Possibly Johnson.
Something I don’t understand is Latino protesters who go there and wave Mexican flags and burn US flags to show they don’t want to get deported. Lol wut?
Thanks man. I don’t think PGP staff would approve my avatar.
So you aren’t for jerseys or a game day polo?

Honestly, Chipotle never lost my business.

Full frontal bush.
The rib paragraph (most likely bible quote) is the new tramp stamp.
Just imagine how much you could make at home making lotion.
If you are blessed enough to have Bojangles, the Cajun filet biscuit is a solid alternative.

Buckle up kids (ha), story time.

An uber driver once got a DUI with me in it. I wish I was kidding.

Then you can pay for the wall.

Yeah? Well, you know, that’s just like, your opinion, man.
Gallet & Co. clock and watch making dates back to 1466. Just gonna assume they had a shop in Westeros back in the day.
That’s 60% odds are in your favor there, Chief. Put it all on black. Don’t double down, though.
