Congrats on a great first date! Unsolicited advice; maybe wait until tomorrow to call her and ask her out for Saturday. I work at a public university. Our “Holiday Party” was from 1PM-3PM today. It was explicitly stated that there was no booze allowed multiple times, and I am currently back at my desk because I have to finish out the work day. Moral of the story, I’ve made some terrible life choices. PGP
Have you tried much Fort Point? Brewed right by the Bridge. Only just started canning their beers this year, so is now widely available in the Bay, but not selling out yet either. Great package designs and tasty brews. Villager IPA, their Kolsch, and the Park Hoppy Wheat are all pretty stellar.
Malort is objectively terrible. Fernet is far superior in every way, and the couple times I was in Chicago over the summer seemed to be available almost every where. Guess, it’s not just for us (West)coastal elites any more, but give it a shot instead of Malort.
Roger at Zushi Puzzle would have torn this guy a new one. He doesn’t play around with his omakase. This dude definitely sounds more like a Mas Sake or Ace Wasabi type of bro. Also, why did you never mention that Girl has a brother?
What neighborhood are you staying in and what kind of vibe are you looking for in bars? As Work From Home mentioned, Mauna Loa in the Marina is great. Met my fiance there a few years back. Horseshoe and Marina Lounge are also solid chill bars.
Didn’t Uber and Lyft stop operating in Austin? Either way, please take one back to TSM. The reason TGDAG is a hit is because people love to laugh at the parody. No one actually wants to deal with the real life version of Girl.

I honestly think girl was the evil twin and killed the good twin in the womb for developing faster or some crap. Either way, definitely some fetal resorption occurred to add to her power. Katie definitely would not be the first girl to have an “accident” while girl is around.
Did we every find out what Girl had to apologize for in TGDAG: Hangovers? I think it vaguely got mentioned during the Girl’s Night one and was something about Alex and Trip, but did we ever find out the details?
