Thankfully January through March is busy for me so no FOMO for me during the rainy months when everyone chills inside, but summers in the PNW are second to none.
Seattle native here, if you move to Seattle, you can find a squad of transplants pretty easy as seen from my transplant coworkers. The city is has a ton to do and a lot of people who move here really enjoy it. It is 100% different than LA so recommend checking it out first.
Why it leads to a better date is that you have more to talk about and discover about each other, more unknown as opposed to already having established talking points and topics covered
Two of my bros and I spent Friday drinking some margs at a local taco spot in town. As we were keeping it low key, we had no reason to move spots. Next thing we know, we are all well gone and ubering home sperately. One friend had to cancel his Uber mid ride to puke and walk the rest of the way home, I slept on top of my bed in shoes and jeans. Saturday was spent mostly horizontal. Looking forward to this weekend.
Tonight, a lady friend and I are drinking some wine and watching Stranger Things as to not be too hungover for some quality tailgating tomorrow where we will be indulging in some quality busch light and cheap liquors.
100% Toronto. My uncle works decently high up for Amazon and since he’s from Europe, travels there to recruit for them. A lot of Europeans they hire currently go to Vancouver since the H1-B1 program has made extremely difficult to get into the Seattle office. The problem is the US does not have enough talent to support the number of high level computer programmers and developers they need so they need to hire globally. Large Canadian city near the east coast is the move for sure.
There’s a bar in my city that has a ton of old arcade machines, Ms. Pac Man, Pinball galore, and hockey foosball. I think the bartender has figured out it is my first date spot by the number of different girls I have taken there.
I just scheduled a meeting for Friday with my boss about potentially moving to Chicago next summer, is winter truly that bad? (I am from the West Coast and have zero clue about Midwest winters)
Thank Brian, hosting a company party pregame tonight, now I don’t have to worry about a playlist
I didn’t know Micah was from Arkansas
Put read receipts on in 2015 and never looked back
Tap+Brita+Hydroflask, only correct response
Any ETA on when the next segment in the Displaced Texan Chronicles is coming down the pipe?
Scaries inducing
