I forget what the event is called, but there’s a brewery here that sponsors a 100 yard dash and brunch buffet on the morning of the marathon. It’s awesome.
I don’t know about most people, but my family would be seriously disappointed if my wife didn’t take my last name. It would really only bother me for that reason. Maybe it depends on your background.
I lived in New York for a few months. I like it generally but also wouldn’t move back if I had other decent options.
It definitely isn’t garbage. It’s legitimately one of the world’s great cities. The entertainment and food options are unlimited, for one thing. The energy there is pretty crazy.
That said, it’s also extremely expensive, the pace of life is exhausting, and the people are unnecessarily rude to each other (that’s the worst part, imo).
I’m not a huge DMB fan, but you should listen to whatever music you like.
I think they get shit on because they aren’t really embraced by the standard alt rock fans or your more out-there jam band fans. DMB is kind of in-between.
I saw Nappy Roots live a few months ago. They had a boombox (like one you could by at a Radioshack back in the day) playing the beat and rapped over it.
Disagree strongly. Sports are a family thing for a lot of people. They were for me, and it’s been a positive thing (except for the Redskins being terrible).
Also, I want as many people cheering for my school’s football team as possible. I don’t care what their reasons are.
In my bachelor party experience, the less planning the better. Depending on the number of people, even having people show up for one nice dinner can be dicey.
Actually, the first real exposure I had to people who had played a lot of hockey were dudes for Canada, NE, and upstate NY on my lacrosse team in college.
There are glaring lacrosse playing style differences between the DC/MD/VA guys who grew up playing mostly football, soccer and basketball and the hockey players from up north. Those guys were almost uncomfortable with more space.

Agreed. To DeskFactor’s point, I wouldn’t include DMB or Dispatch in that group. Not even in that genre, really.

I never understood why people get self-conscious about a little sweat. It’s hot outside. Everybody else is sweating too.
Summer has longer days, better attitudes, more outdoor activities, more comfortable clothes, etc. It’s great.
Seriously. Outside temp doesn’t drop that low until like midnight.
Mezeh
Buddy system. Find a core group of 2-4 and stick with them. No one left behind.

Pick a location and go nuts.
If I can wear short sleeves, shorts, and flip flops to the office, I’m cool with turning the temperature up. Also, no complaining about BO.
Why not both?
This. My preference in beer is heavily dependent on the situation.
