Definitely skip Buena Vista. The best Irish Coffee in town can be found at the Marina Lounge on Chestnut. Close to Marina Green and Chrissy Field for views of the bridge, bay, and the Rock. Go see that crap, then head to the bar. Sully makes the best Irish Coffee around and just happens to still curate his own jukebox full of the best tunes around.
For the third story’s author, what was the trendy company in Chicago? Recently moved out here and looking for a job. Could definitely get down on a culture of Friday beer pong. Maybe not beer pong with Fireball, but no one is a perfect employee.
The G2 is a great pen. Uniball Vision Elite is as well for a non-retractable option. Also, to the guy with the original question, don’t steal from servers/bartenders. They typically have to supply them personally because restaurant and bar managers are cheap asses. They don’t make enough to finance your pen habit and actually need them constantly.
Definitely agree with this move. My brother’s dog is named Hank after Henrik Zetterberg. Very solid dog name, and a nice tribute to one of his favorite players.
As long as you don’t have some crazy toenail fungus or something, I don’t see any issue with it. From a safety standpoint, unless you are rocking steel-toed boots to the gym, dropping the weights on your foot is still going to do some damage.
I can’t definitively say that “~Paul” is this guy, but he is almost certainly this guy. @Paul_McBeth
Solid resume in your bio, Tilde Paul, but your the game you went “pro” at literally must reference the name of a better sport for people to even know what it is. Disc golf can be a fun way to spend practically no money and kill a couple hours, but that hardly puts in on the same level as golf.
Funny you should say that, when I first moved to SF, she lived out here. Our moms tried to arrange just such a thing. Holly didn’t seem as interested as I was. Still trying to figure that one out.
Shameless brag…my parents and Holly Allen’s parents are really good friends back in Wyoming. Can confirm that she is even more of a ridiculous smokeshow in person. She has two sisters that also bring some fire in the looks department, though not quite Miss Wyoming hot like Holly.
I definitely agree with you though I enjoyed his time on the Wings, but wanted him in for the golf advice. I probably should have gone with Maltby as the fourth.
What’s your ideal golf foursome solely of (living)former Red Wings? I think I’d go with Yzerman, McCarty, and Hull. That last spot is really a toss up, but I hear Hull is an amazing golfer so maybe he can give me some tips.
Tomorrow is my last day at the job before I move from SF to Chicago next week. Didn’t think I could be any less motivated to actually do any work until this live blog came around. Please pass along my thanks to Madison for allowing this beautiful event to occur. Really getting me through the day.
Not trying to take away anything from nuggets, especially Wendy’s, but they are for far different situations than wings and only bone-in are actual wings.
When is the Touching Base: Chicago live podcast? Asking for the crashers.
It starts in Minnesota. Anywhere north of the Cities.
Would totally be down for that. The entire Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz album straight up goes.

I would definitely get rid of Titanic. Throw in The Sandlot or the original Red Dawn, and you have a pretty solid list.
deFries, curious what you think of this, particularly the dog with the baby Sperry’s in his mouth. http://www.townandcountrymag.com/style/a9986444/preppy-baby-announcements/
Also, my brother went to Hamilton. That a couple that would pull this wedding photo off went there makes a lot of sense.

Pretty far up in northern Rogers Park, basically in Evanston.
Definitely do not respond. Now for some off topic banter, I moved to Chicago last week. What are some bars and restaurants that I need to hit?
