Law school girl, I did the exact same thing with my girlfriend about 6 months into our relationship. It will be tough but it’s not the end of the world. If you stagger your visits to each other, you’ll only ever have to go maybe two weeks without seeing each other and neither of you will have to make the trip more than a few times a semester. Morning and afternoon FaceTime calls helped a lot too.
Also, if you have a decent option close to home that will give you as much or more scholly funds, go with that.
