I live with my parents now, they’re not perfect by any means but they would never bring a fucking cat into the house without telling me, then not understand why they’re getting bitched out.
Roommate’s suck, I had a roommate get a cat without mine or the other roommate’s permission, and I’m allergic to cats, plus the landlord didn’t allow pets. She was my good friend but now I hate her guts, and have yet to meet anybody more impulsive than her.
Walking or biking to work is much easier said than done. Driving’s the only option for most people. Otherwise, I agree people do waste a lot of money on stupid shit.
Grad school doesn’t do much for you if you don’t have work experience. I have friends who are job hunting with a graduate degree but no experience and they’re struggling much more than I did with a bachelor’s degree and no experience, and they have useful degrees.
But at the same time, what makes you think that they’re gonna change their attitudes about their employess. A lot of the time they’ll make those promises cause they don’t want to hire a new person, but then they end up being full of crap.
