I think the “chefs” are more interested in sneaking extra food in their mouths when no one’s looking than paying attention to what the customers do with Parmesan. That being said, I hate powdered Parmesan and prefer shaved extra cheese on top.
Part of it I think, is what you let the other person get away with. If I really like a guy’s company and could see it as more than sex, I will intentionally suggest dates other than drinks/Netflix. If he isn’t into that, then he wasn’t really meant to be more than a hookup. Great read.
I kinda agree with this as well. I would hope if I were in a long term relationship, and I started to let myself go in any way- my partner would feel comfortable mentioning something to me before it got too late. Maintaining attractions in relationships is hard, but if it’s already waning at year 3- it won’t last long.
Therapy can be an incredible thing- having a third unbiased party in your corner, no matter what. It sounds like you’re off to a healthy start already, so that’s half the battle there.
I’m 24 and definitely find myself in the same boat as 23 girl at times. But then I remember I’m really not looking for anything serious now, and I do whatever I want every weekend, and I feel better.
Honestly I think it’s because narcissism has become more visible with social media. The ability to show everyone how cool whatever it is you’re doing is too tempting for a lot of people. I like to think the most charitable people are those doing good for others when no one is watching.
My mother, who was a financial genius, always said you have to be willing to be uncomfortable and live below your means if you actually want to accumulate wealth in your life. You’re doing it right!
Brunch dates can be a relaxing way to parlay into an afternoon…nap. Or can be a fantastic way to see how your date handles a long boozy brunch (i.e. What are they like when they’re drunk).
Dammit Maryland and DC were spot on for me. Guess I’m living in the right area.

To soflo guy- spending a week in Miami in September for a girl’s trip. Let’s drink!
This has been me the past 2 months.. I regret nothing.
Might just do that, why not. Sup yourself
It was refreshing to read of a slightly more normal couple this week. Girl’s mannerisms make my head explode every Wednesday.
When you don’t have any of these on your dating app profile, but you’re still single. PGP.

All I could focus on was the meat and cheese board. Dammit I’m hungry.

Paul Rudd can get it.
You had me at family cellars in burgundy, and manipulating world banks.

I feel like you’d be an entertaining breakfast companion. That being said, Alex is a closer.
I wash them out at work… I just hate bringing them home.
I’m the Tupperware hoarder who will let it stack up on my shelf in my office, and then 2 weeks later, bring an avalanche home like a psycho.
