Girls who do those photos where they grab hands and lean toward each other looking super obnoxious. Every girl on my feeds does this, and it’s like they have no way to pose normally. That and spreading incorrect political graphics are my top two.
Just happened to me, actually. 4 interviews at a large company, and then ghosting. I wouldn’t mind getting ghosted if I hadn’t wasted all those days taking off work early for the interviews. But at least it gives me a feel of their company culture if that’s how they handle recruiting.
H-Street Fest in DC tomorrow, and Renaissance Festival on Sunday. Peak opportunities for people watching, so I’m excited. Tonight is looking like sushi indian takeout and rosemary’s baby.
I always feel like morticia and gomez Adams is underrated. Could get weird and do a mike Meyers and Laurie strode outfit in honor of the new movie coming out soon. Or Annabelle and chucky. Yea I like creepy costumes…
I’ve normally found my best times with friends were one on one or in groups of 4 or less. Recently we decided that it might be fun to start doing more sober activities together (ie the zoo, museums) rather than just going to dinner and getting drinks. Keeps the friendship fresh.
I was Joanna from office space last year. It was super easy to put together and it’s a great convo starter. I always go for the comedy movie character costumes.
For me the changing the diet part was easy. It was the getting my ass to the gym part that’s still hard. It does help that I work out with friends so we nag each other to go regularly.
After a crazy week, my big plans are two nights of takeout, catching up on castle rock and enveloping myself in blankets to become couch burrito on Sunday.
When you can’t decide between two girls, it probably means neither is the one for you. It’s not a fun realization, but sometimes a person can be really close to what you want, but still not the one.
This is making me cherish last football Sunday, where we spent the whole day on the couch, eating takeout and checking our fantasy scores. Besides can’t you online register for weddings these days?
Back in May, my AC wasn’t working. Bring the car in, only to find out my pipe got eaten by “a large rodent” and replacement/repair costs were $500. Clearly I screwed over the DC rodent population at some point…
I view all the struggles we go through at this point in our lives as building blocks to lots of life experience. The only way to become a wise old lady poking people with her cane one day is to go through a lot of weird, ugly, amazing shit.
Unless you’re one of my best friends, my rule of thumb is I don’t ask people about their dating life, or when they’re having kids. Both are unnecessary to ask about.

Apparently after this post went viral, the girl threw a “polygraph party” to rat out the snitch. Amazing.

I have sushi once a week. I just spend less on other things to make up for it. Treat yo self.
I’m definitely an April Ludgate / Ben Wyatt Hybrid.
Emirates is still my favorite of all time. The food was amazing, and everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend.

Might need to add the Nun to this one. The trailer oversold it- that whole plot about Jesus’s blood made us all start laughing at the theatre.

I miss The NY Times wedding announcement articles! Those were some of Will’s best content, imo.

I wish. DC is in prime swamp season with no end in sight.
