I switched to irons off the tees this past weekend because I was tired of hitting off the parallel fairway to the right of my current fairway. I hit more fairways than I ever have, even though I felt like a goon doing so. It felt good to hit dead center fairways a few times with a 4/5 iron and it lines up your consequential shots a whole hell of a lot better.
It’s just mob rule and people trying to act all heroic. “I have a friend that doesn’t eat donuts! He would (probably, except I don’t really know for sure) be super offended! So I’m going to fight his battle for him! (Even though he doesn’t know he’s in a battle yet.)”
I still think social media is one of the worst things that could’ve happened to government and democracy. So many idiots out there yet we have to allow them their (idiotic) opinions.
Unfortunately it is very hard to find unbiased news these days. I believe all media outlets are owned by 8-9 different companies so even though you’re reading a different medium, you’re getting the same bullshit. As a republican, I naturally will gravitate more towards Fox not just because I side with them, but because I believe they are more honest than other outlets. Sure they spin things, but that’s up to me to sort out. These online news sources like Vice, Jezebell, shit like that are ruining news altogether. Call me a commie but reading the BBC is a pretty neutral source to go to for American news. It gives you the perspective of those not living in the US, AKA the other 95% of the world. Hint: Most of them laugh at us.
My old college roommate is the king of this. Except that he took hours long sit down showers at 4 in the morning and passed out while sitting on the drain, which flooded the entire dorm room, which took days to dry out. You’d think he’d learn after doing this once. Nope, did it a mere few weeks later. God have mercy on that son of a bitch….
I’m old school (in many ways) so in my opinion a quick phone conversation is much easier. With a text you can’t tell if someone is blatantly ignoring you or is actually busy.
This pisses me off — Twitter does the same thing now. Don’t tell me what you think I want to fucking see, give me my shit in chronological order and let me decide what I want to see or scroll past.
This is why I love (hate) golf. Even the best go from “I’m on top of the world after that shot!” to “Fuck this shit, fuck you 5-iron. I’m never playing again” within a single hole.
If I were Nintendo I’d put the rarest Pokemon in the most absurd and risky locations. Let natural selection run its course Where do you think a Moltres should be found? The rim of an active volcano makes the most sense. Just saying.
I was about to type that as I read your reply. The dumbest people seem to have the loudest voices now, especially since their voices are so easily broadcasted across multiple social media platforms. Lucky for everyone else though, is they probably won’t be turning out to vote at a high percentage.
