While this wouldn’t affect FIFA at all, but what is stopping the US from threatening to host a competing set of competitions to the Olympics? Not to sound too nationalistic, but the Olympics would struggle mightily without the presence of American athletes and American viewership, not to mention if American sponsors all pulled out.
If you can, go into the office on Sunday when you get back. It sucks to go in on the weekend, but it beats having to deal with a shit storm on a Monday morning.
