There’s another girl in the same department as me with the same name, so my boss calls her by the name and me by my initials. I feel like this gives me license to use initials as a signature regaularly without seeming short. Don’t correct me if I’m wrong, it’s gone on too long to turn back now.
Do you not have a clock? My boss gets to work at 4 am every day, I keep my phone on silent and just use a clock for my alarm to avoid the emails. Also I’m that person who has to have their alarm across the room or I turn it off in my sleep.
My work email was just my first name @, but they hired someone else with the same first name and now we both have first name last initial @. It’s lame.
The blame for the whole triangle was 100% on Dean, but my opinion of D-Lo went way down when she announced that the week after Dean dumped her and said he was in love with someone else she still hooked up with him. How can you even act surprised that it didn’t work out at that point? Come on.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking a pause in school if you really are 100% sure that you do not want to go into the field you’re studying. It’s better to know now and only pay for 2 years worth of a degree you won’t use than to pay for 4 years worth and still end up going back to study something else or not using the degree. I took a break when I realized I didn’t want to go into the field I thought I did, to figure out what I did want. It worked out really well for me in the long run but it was hard at times feeling like I was on a different wavelength from both my friends the same age and then my classmates a couple years younger than me when I went back. I would say just think really hard about your choice and have a plan, but don’t be opposed to the plan changing, it doesn’t have to be ONLY engineering or ONLY labor. If you decide to not do engineering see what major you can transfer your credits to most effectively. Most jobs want to see that you have a degree but don’t care what it actually is unless you’re in a specialized field. You can always get a more general degree that isn’t as stressful, do the labor, and then have a degree to fall back on if you decide to switch to an office job.
Maybe I just don’t pick up on cues well but I definitely thought Cersei was going to murder each of her brothers in their one on one scenes. Especially Jaime. I was concerned. On the other hand we all know Jon the Jesus figure, no way he’s going out unless its in a big final “saves everyone else by killing the night king but dies in the process” scene.
My dad is the Wildlife Manager for a billionaire (not in Texas)! Very niche job, you’re the only other person I’ve heard who knows someone doing it. He loves the outdoor parts, but not the politicking parts that can come with working for someone that influential.
Completely agree. I’m a light sleeper so staying over is basically guaranteeing I will be a zombie the next day. Actually had a dude I’d been seeing suggest a weeknight for a date and I agreed while explaining I couldn’t stay over this time and why. He said it was fine, so we went on the date, and then as soon as I left his apartment after he sent me a super long text including Ella Fitzgerald lyrics and saying how me not staying over really cut him deep. Had no idea this was such a point of contention for some people.
Have your employers ever googled you and found your writing? Literally all of my jobs have had at least one person who actually told me they googled me, and I’m really trying to picture how that conversation would go down for you.
My dog best friend just died in May unexpectedly and this article hit me really hard, I haven’t gone home since because I’m afraid of how weird it will be.
And nothing makes me want to act like a commitment-phobic youth more than someone talking about marriage on a first date, leading to the “I wasn’t ready for an adult relationship at your age, either” comments. Vicious cycle.
I’m a 26 year old girl and notice shades of this as well. Every guy 30 or older I’ve been on even just one date with has come right out of the gate asking if I want kids, if I’m religious, and sometimes mentioning how/if I would get along with their family. Not as weird as getting the “when I was your age…” though.

Sometimes I think I would be happier if I didn’t love my job so that I wouldn’t feel ungrateful every time it pissed me off.
Thank god he grew out of that.
….sup?

Surprised that steak temp. isn’t on here.
I meant “we all know Jon IS the Jesus figure”…but we can go with the typo. His new family likes long titles anyway.

The idea of strippers in DC dancing on “polls” is amazing. Best typo I’ve seen in a while. If it is in fact a typo.
Maybe so! Your dad must be so proud.

You’re not wrong.
