Amen. After they won last night my dad welled up with tears in his eyes and talked about how his late father brought him to Colt .45 games back in the early 60’s. Nothing will ever beat this feeling right now, watching the Astros win their 1st World Series with my dad right there beside me, in a house that that neither of us live in due to still being displaced from our homes because of Harvey. Those guys on the Astros will never know how much of an impact their run has made on us fans who have had very little to be excited about these past 2 months. It still doesn’t feel real at all.
My anxiety is skyrocketing. The only thing keeping me from completely stroking out is knowing that Verlander is on the bump tonight. Pull ’em through, 19H.
I don’t know if this applies all members of the fairer sex, but every girl I have showered with needs the water temp to be slightly above SCALDING levels in order to be comfortable. Now that I think about it, they were probably giving me a sign that they would rather me not be in there with them. I’m an idiot.
Very true. About a month ago there was a big falling out between the spoken-for guys in our group text (your boy is single) because one guy has shared some details about the group to his wife on multiple occasions, and she subsequently relays that info to the rest of the wives/significant others. He was a guy that no one really liked in the first place (this was a 20+ person group, some stragglers made their way in somehow.) so I was pleased that he, along with a few other annoying guys, didn’t make the cut in the new group text that was created. Don’t ever be that guy.
I feel you, RRR. I started back at work on Monday and still haven’t been able to get in any kind of groove. Thankful to PGP for being there for me when I need to numb the mind a little.
I’m taking a roadie for a much-needed get away with the fellas since Harvey wrecked our shit two weeks ago. Here’s to getting back to a little bit of normalcy.
Definitely do Bourbon since its your first time. Also, Magazine Street is a pretty chill sitch during the day if you want to stray away from the Quarter, and Frenchmen Street is more of a chill townie area that’s near Bourbon.
Godspeed, brother. The last NOLA bachelor party I attended ended up with my friends finding me passed out in the hallway shirtless in the downward dog position right in front of my hotel room door the first night, while the room key was in my wallet. Naturally I physically couldn’t get out of bed until 5pm the next day, because for some reason I always refuse to take Will’s advice of taking it easy the first night and leave some in the tank for the second night.

P.S. great article, Bill.

Hard “would” to the steak in the picture.

“What if I get diarrhea” is a question I ask myself most of the times when I leave the house.
I am constantly perplexed that he can’t tie a tie to make it a normal length.
Most tailgates I’ve attended with a gf ended up in a drunken fight so I’m excited to see where next week’s installment takes us.
T’s & P’s
Don’t even get me started on Beth
I’m glad to know there are other folks in the PGP community that are required to be members of #TeamSuit

Well in that case you get one of the guestrooms for the night.
Also, name checks out.
