Anova Sous Vide is like $130 at best buy and it goes on sale occasionally. Got mine for $100. Works perfectly too. Just plop some meat in a sealed bag into the water, grab a beer, watch some TV, and then sear it on a cast iron (baste with butter and herbs for extra taste) or the grill for a couple minutes.
I will be getting rowdy with the one [name redacted] and his gf from above next weekend in DC and I’m very much looking forward to it after seeing their stories.
I’ve got a corporate code from a buddy of a buddy that I use when renting from National and they treat me so much better than they used to. I always upgrade to a convertible for barely any extra per day and act like I’m much cooler than I actually am.
San Francisco is a mere hour from Napa/Sonoma too so you could do a day of traveling through wineries. I do this pretty often and it’s very enjoyable and relaxing. I’d recommend the Sonoma area over Napa though as it’s a bit less touristy/crowded. But either way, there is gorgeous scenery and plenty of people to converse with over a glass of wine so that you don’t feel totally alone (unless that’s what you want)
It’s always weird to explain but considering I still don’t have friends here, I don’t care to live with random craigslist people, and can’t really afford to live solo, I won’t be moving out until I move out of state hopefully by the end of the year.
Am guy 1. I’ll clear the air here a bit more. I’m not dating/piping mamí, I am merely very good friends with her daughter (who is now marrying a fraternity brother of mine). She offered to let me stay with her for a very low rent (For CA at least – fuck the cost of living here) so I said why the hell not? I’m not burning any friendships, and it’s worked out quite well thus far.

Italian Homemade in the North Beach/Russian Hill area has been my favorite Italian food in SF. I’ll have to check out Cafe Sport
