Is Todd’s main issue that he has none of his own friends? If I recall correctly, Todd & The Girl met on Hinge, so one would assume Todd met John through her, rather than knowing him previously. Within the length of time they’ve been dating he’s become best friends with his girlfriend’s best friends husband. Also, was Trip not first introduced as The Girl’s college ex?
