Because ESPN panders to certain demographics that don’t watch hockey. What people don’t realize is that up until 2005, the NHL sucked, it used to be a lot slower of games to watch. It took the season lockout to streamline and ease up the game and gain followers. Sports center is all NBA or NFL gossip and haven’t gotten with the times.

As a kid who grew up in the 90s, there was nothing that gave me more anxiety than having to speak to your friends parents for all of 15 seconds before your friend got on the line to set up a hangout.

Unpopular opinion. Disc golf is a great game. Don’t get me wrong, golf is 1000x better but this is free, the equipment required is hundreds of dollars cheaper, it more “outdoorsy”, you can get hammered doing it and it takes half the time for a round of 18.
For the love of god make Sports Center about high lights again, not 45 minutes of NBA/NFL gossip and 15 minutes of high market team highlights. Not all of us are Red Sox and Yankees, Cavs and Patriots fans.
I’m honestly terrified that this season of house of cards will be the straw that broke they camels back in terms of it turning into a shitty show. It’s been kinda lingering downhill since season 1-2.
Yes, they’re a business, they wanna make money, people have short attention spans, the next time United offers the lowest price, I’ll bet my life savings that people book them and forget about this ordeal
