Step 1.) Stop watching the NFL
Step 2.) Watch any College Football game you can find. Its more fun.
Step 2A.) Actually I’m gonna walk that one back. Watch any Big 12 or Pac 12 game. Those are going to be fun no matter what.
Man…this is a garbage take. Bagels have to be dead last in breakfast power rankings, especially for a fall Saturday. Bagels are a last resort choice when you’re running late and everyones go to when providing breakfast for the office. On Saturday you have the time to put together respectable spread. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, maybe some hash browns? Sure why not, theres plenty of time. Then you sit down and enjoy your feast right as the 11AM games are starting.
Throw it away and cancel everything. Bury this deep down inside and never bring it up. Nothing reeks of false hope and desperation like joining a pyramid scheme.
This is pretty typical and I went through it as well. For the two years after I graduated, I had one foot in Collegetown and one in Grown Up City ( I was the oldest and most senior of my friends so plenty of them didn’t graduate when I did) and it was fun for awhile. Then people graduate and move on and slowly become involved in new lives and before you know it, you return to Collegetown and you actually don’t really know anyone anymore. Its sobering. Its real. but its fine and you can always go back to enjoy a game day or two.
There is a special kind of endorphin release when you get the new job offer and put in the two weeks at the old gig. Especially if you were worth anything at the old job.
Question: What happens after the proposal? Do you stay and watch the game? Like, awesome, glad I got that checked off my list of things to do now I can relax and watch the game? Or Do you go just go home?
Lemme help you out.

Thats cool but have you tried Totinos Party Pizza? Pretty good.
Agreed. Leave it the way it is. All good things must end.
Bachelorette parties sound really hard. Y’all should do bachelor parties, they’re way easier to plan.

“88 degrees sounds pretty nice” – Everyone in the South
Oh I see. Chick Fil A is so good that it was pointless to even list it here, since its the default number 1.
What? No. This is way too long. The answer is you don’t go.

Can confirm. Waking up without a horrific hangover makes the weekend feel twice as long, which is nice .
“Sure, you can still crush a carafe ”
Oh shit, thats how you spell “carafe”. Huh, the more you know.

Doing this tomorrow actually. Getting the band back together and heading to Lubbock for TTU/OU. I think it’s a necessary tradition.

I never understood the appeal of a peddle pub. It always seemed like a stupid idea to me.
On going out:
22: Yeah I’ll make it out there tonight
27: No, I’m not going.
“I don’t really care about college football so you do what you want on Saturdays. I’m going shopping for riding boots and plaid scarves.”
