To play devils advocate for a second, I think the point of what they’re trying to say is that you won’t find a good relationship through force, it will be and come natural. “Don’t try” doesn’t imply not putting forth effort, it implies not putting forth the wrong effort (think about the difference between being a try-hard vs a hard worker). You strike me as someone who is very adaptable to a variety of different people so you may not necessarily even know when something is very forced as opposed to purely natural. As a fellow single af serial dater to another, just realize it’s all a numbers game.

“Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond belief” fear of failure is real guys, but at the end of the day you all can do whatever you set your mind to as long as you take the leap.

I’m all for big moves as I’ve gone to 3 colleges in 3 different states because of extenuating circumstances. None of us have experienced the entirety of this awesome country, but having the pleasure of being raised in SoCal (there currently, sup?) and having been to big schools in the Pacific Northwest and Midwest has been an amazing experience. Nobody should settle for good when there is great out there.

This one actually hits really deep to me. I️ recently ended things with a girl I️ had dated for a while for the exact same reason as you. This was the best relationship of my life, and the love she had for me was immense. I️ have no idea why I️ did it other than the lame explanation “it didn’t feel amazing” even though it was quite good. Anyways, I’m from SoCal too so sup?

  • PersonalTrainer 7 years ago on Coming To Grips With The Fact That The Party Cannot Last Forever

I love drinking as much as the next guy (former frat guy), but have recently come across a string of cancer in the family and decided to hang up the old cleats and not get trashed (as much) anymore. It’s weird at first, but kind of freeing. It’s kind of sweet waking up on Saturday feeling great, there’s a lot of cool shit to do out there, you just have to find it!

Hot take, but Peters personality sucks. He has the face of a God but the dude is depressing af. Feels like the type of guy that when you tell him about a big promotion, brings up how that’s not helping hungry children in Africa or something.

I’d say if you send one more text make it the opposite of the “easy out” sort. Be confident about the feelings you have for her because (and correct me if I’m wrong girls) girls don’t like guys that are wishy washy about their feelings towards them and would be willing to let them go at the first sign of conflict.

Completely agree with this take. Tried to meet up with as many girls as possible on tinder, and leave them in good enough terms that I now have a large enough network built that I have places to stay and girls that have my back from LA to San Diego.

Once trained a girl and told her to do “girl push-ups” because she couldn’t do normal ones, and some lady working out in the area ranted for 10 minutes about why that offended her. If people had that energy to fight against issues that actually mattered, we might actually get somewhere.

  • PersonalTrainer 7 years ago on I’m Going To Lose This Weight: WTF Is Going On?

    2 things:
    1. Look up online how to calculate your body fat or get a cheap body fat calculator and do that instead of going by weight. That’s the best way to track the weight loss that you want while not penalizing you for any muscle gained.
    2. Completely overhaul your workout regimen. For cardio, it’s more efficient to do intervals (2 minutes @60% effort, then 1 minute @80% effort for 15-21 min) and burns just as much if not more fat than steady state running for 30 min. Also a focus on muscle gaining (heavier lifting) should be incorporated as well at least once a week, more muscle means more calories burned at rest so more fat gone. Often times plateaus can be overcome by just incorporating these two things.

  • PersonalTrainer 7 years ago on I’m Going To Lose This Weight: Revenge Body

New to commenting here and figured this was my place to shine with tips for you guys.
Tip #1: Unless a specific goal for increasing cardio is sought after, always try to train weights first. Your muscles run almost exclusively on carbs (glucose), and will thus feel more sluggish whereas if cardio is done afterwards, your body just shifts to its next useable energy source (fat) easily!
