Great article. You really hit the nail on the head. I’m turning 28 and have a job that conventionally people would call successful. But on weekends act like a complete degenerate. Recently a friend was in the hospital and another one got an std. thankfully everyone is ok but real wake up call there is so much more out there.
I take best of both worlds, windows open on a summer night with the AC. Get a constant cool breeze while also listening to the crickets. I know it’s wasteful but this is America everything we do is wasteful
As a 26 yr I’m now just getting to the point where going out every weekend and blacking out is not worth wasting my weekend with the ensuing hangover. So I’m assuming by 28 I’ll have to keep to a once a month ordeal.
I have to work every 5th weekend, with the comp day being the following Friday. Yes it does suck but that Sunday night feeling that it is all downhill from here is fantastic
