So for some reason I’ve been Europe 4 times and they’ve only been to Italy. I’ve been to Rome, Florence, Venice, Umbria, Porto San Giorgio and Cinque Terre.
I agree with Rome being a bit overrated, but the landmarks are worth spending a long weekend on. Florence is super fun, most Americanized, and has the best party scene. Cinque Terre is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, and the hiking is some of the best in the world. Can’t speak to Venice much since I was there in the winter and it was kinda miserable (still a really unique city).
The food is unbelievable everywhere though, and pasta has been permanently ruined for me.
