No, actually it’s not. Nobody on here is saying IWD shouldn’t exist or that women shouldn’t be recognized for their invaluable contributions to every aspect of our society. We all know that without the women in our life, our lives would be incredibly miserable.
I think the general consensus is men here disagree with how a large percentage of women go about celebrating IWD. Should men be telling women how to celebrate it? Absolutely not, but that should not disqualify us from simply voicing our personal observations. I honestly could not care less how they choose to celebrate. If they want to stay home with their vibrators, go for it.
I do think some of the comments here are out of line or completely unnecessary, but none of it has anything to do with respecting women any less. If there are men on here who don’t believe women should have every right we have, they should do society a favor and put a bullet in their head. I’m not going to tell the women on this site to “relax” or “calm down” because I’m not about to belittle any of them simply for having a vagina. That being said, you can’t immediately just dismiss all men who, through their own personal experiences, view the manner in which IWD (not IWD itself), is celebrated. End rant.
