Unfortunately I fall into the category of fucked up my pick in college and now I’m paying for it. I work a great job and making more money than if I stayed in my chosen career field, but like you said, the feeling of not being able to retire is dreadful. Be a weekend warrior as long as you can. Great article as I feel the same way. I would; however, say wait until your early to mid 30s to get hitched. Gives yourself 10-15 year to get crazy post college to get it out of your system and find the right one.
Fine….I don’t hate the dentist….I hate the dental hygienist! Scraping the shit out my gums and then complaining I am not flossing enough is not how I would like to spend my PTO.
I think the people on this thread who say they don’t give a shit didn’t give it their all and just wanted to party. You have to put the work in and EARN the party. I met some of my best friends in my fraternity. We talk some stuff about the fraternity but that is soon washed out because we don’t live in the past. We just like to remember the good times and create new ones.
