Also wanting to go blue pill, but I have a meeting from 3-5 that will include free alcohol. Work is then picking up the tab for a 2-3 hour happy hour. Looks like red pill it is.
Drinking all the beer and fair food at my company’s street fest today. Saturday I have a cookout for a friend’s gf’s bday. The British Open on Sunday. Shaping up to be a great weekend.
To loss person: Just went a rough patch like that. I had just moved to a city where I knew no one and lost a close friend and handled it so poorly. I isolated myself from everyone and it didn’t help at all. I wish I would’ve sought out some sort of therapy/help to get through it.
I didn’t truly start feeling better until I opened up to my family and friends who were incredibly supportive. Talking about it is going to suck at first, but you’ll work through it. Sorry for your loss and you’ll find a way to work through the rough patch.
Got my first one out of the way at 24. A year into the new job, they started downsizing. I was oddly calm about it while everyone else was freaking out. Survived the cut and don’t worry about it as much anymore. Good luck on the job search.
Staying as far away from downtown Chicago as possible.
I had almost this exact conversation with a co-worker today.
I’m by no means a burger connoisseur, but it’s the best burger I’ve had to date by far.
Did the same bar crawl as the last story. Can confirm the entire thing was a shit show.
Deuces is terrible at night.

I am also team Dunkin unless there is a Caribou around.
If anyone is ever in Charlotte, I highly recommend Jeff’s Bucket Shop on Montford. Cheap drinks and a great crowd.
No less than 2 people on my team(13 people) mention how cold it is every single day while not using the jackets they have on the back of their chairs.
Did that with gin once. Equally unpleasant.
First game of 16″ softball season starts tonight. Ready to hit some dingers
Moved to Chicago a couple years back and have now conformed to doing shits of gin.
