My man. I jumped on the “golf polo” train a few years back and can’t go any other way. My grandma gives me a Brooks Brothers polo every year (God bless her) and I can’t bring myself to put on that thick cotton anymore. Plus, polo with jeans and/or khakis is one of the most versatile looks on the planet.

  • 19th Hole 8 years ago on A Blond Man's Realization That He Can't Grow A Good Beard To Save His Life

Most people think they want a beard, but they don’t.

I was blessed (or cursed) and started growing a very thick beard at a young age (16-17). At first I was the cool kid with 5 o’clock shadow on the weekends then I was the funny guy rocking a mustache for the summer. Once the end of college rolled around I decided to go full beard, full time. That’s when it all changed. I was spending countless hours being called on to save a child from a fire, carry an old lady’s groceries to her 16th floor apartment (elevator broken, of course) and even advise on military strategy in the Middle East.

The real trouble started when I began to groom and trim my beard. I had the most jealous girlfriend in the world, I had women from around the globe asking me on dates and I even had men fighting me because they kept finding their girlfriend or wife spending all their time scrolling through my Instagram. I still have a beard (because I look like a fat baby without one) but I’ve learned to harness the power. I too often run from people in need and avoid women at all cost, not because I want to, but because I have to if I want to live a normal life.

Just got back from my bachelor party. Natural endorphins are at an all time low but I’m back in the Lone Star State so things are looking up. Closer juice is bringing my body back to life. Time to dig myself out of this financial, mental, and physical hole I’ve put myself in. DCO Nation stand up on a Tuesday. Have a blessed day y’all.

An open letter to the PGP community:

I thought about submitting this but given the reasons for writing it, I doubt it would have been published. I would like to issue a public apology to the PGPers and Grandex employees. Over the past few days I have let some negative happenings around the office directly change my attitude as a commenter here on PGP. I have made some offensive, rude, negative, and inappropriate comments these past few days…something I have even corrected others on in the past. I strongly feel that PGP is more of a community than just a website to visit, and I’ve always loved the positive vibes, support, and overall attitude 99.9% of our community brings on a day to day basis. Unfortunately, these past few days I have been part of the 0.1% and I am truly sorry. I also want to apologize to two people individually…

To the ladies of PGP, you may or may not have noticed that yesterday I made a comment concerning women’s arousal in a crude way. I am sorry. You ladies, and most men, probably found this very off putting. In a community where anyone from any walk of life should be able to celebrate life together or bring their struggles to the table, I posted a comment that did neither but I’m sure made many people uncomfortable. Again, I apologize and those type of comments do not reflect who I am.

To Will. I know you’re a better man than to be offended or truly upset by comments on this website but I must apologize to you as well. Yesterday I made a comment regarding your status as a male and training of your dog. I am sorry. I crossed a line by many miles and went from fun jabbing we have on this website to just plain ridiculous, not funny, and rude. I have huge respect for you and what you do here. PGP would be years behind where it is today without your writing and with TGDAG, you are becoming the Shakespeare of our generation. Again, I apologize for crossing the line about you and your dog.

I will be gone for several days, I hope this gives the PGP community to heal and maybe allow for forgiveness. I know when I return the PGP community will still be going strong and I can only hope I’ll be welcomed back as a positive member of this great community. Again, I apologize to any reader or employee of this website.

    Have a blessed Wednesday everyone
