You want to talk about appointment television? Because a 30 for 30 on a young John Daly absolutely, one hundred percent falls under that category. Honestly, I’m shocked that it took ESPN this long to make a 30 for 30 on J.D. His story about raw talent and a refusal to abide by society’s rules is tailor fit for the documentary series. The Blonde Bomber in his glory days. Just a kid from Arkansas who crushes Jack Daniels and Hooters wings/waitresses.
The hard drinking. The women. The cigarettes. It’s all just so incredible. Could he have become one of the greats following his win at the PGA Championship in ’91? Possibly. But J.D. says it himself in the trailer for the documentary: he’s not going to change for anyone. It just seems like, at least for Long John, being a successful golfer got in the way of partying a little bit.
Hit It Hard is premiering on November 1st at 8:00 p.m. ET, so the first thing I’m doing tonight when I get home is getting my DVR set up. I’d suggest you do the same. This will be a must-watch for any fan of golf or booze. .

I feel like Dave should’ve written this. The guy who advised me to watch that meandering piece of shit “Easy” shouldn’t be advocating what very well could be the best 30 for 30 of all time.
I, for some idiotic reason, took his advice and watched Easy. It’s just a flat out terrible show.
We all make mistakes. Taking advice from Duda is just worse than most.
You guys have awful taste.
Do you even golf? You seem like more of a country club tennis kid.
I’m thinking he’s a disc golfer.
Y’all* have awful taste
That vegan lesbian episode made me so agitated.
God that was bad. Why was there the need for the zoomed in shot of her bush? Just kinda ruined my night…
First the heckler drains a putt, then we win the Ryder Cup, now this.
Not a bad week for golf
2016 may be giving us the worst political situation of a generation, but it’s also giving us a John Daly 30 for 30. I call it a wash…
They’re also doing ANOTHER 30 for 30 with Miami; Catholics vs Convicts.
This might be the most important/interesting thing you’ve ever written.
Hooters better have a special for this
