Here's Conor McGregor Raising All Kinds Of Hell And It Has Nothing To Do With The Election

Conor McGregor will fight Eddie Alvarez Saturday night for the Lightweight title. It’s the first ever UFC event at Madison Square Garden, and that’s a big deal. I’m not an MMA expert, and my knowledge comes from our podcast producer, Micah, and listening to the Joe Rogan Experience. But I’m all in on 205 for a couple reasons.

First of all, it has absolutely nothing to do with the election. That’s huge because my entire life is being consumed by the election right now. Sometimes the life of a lawyer/internet guy/political scientist can be overbearing, and right now is one of those times. Everybody wants to write about the election, or talk about the election, and I’m just trying to offer up distractions to the readers of this website. There were women from the office next door crying about it yesterday outside in the lobby. Pardon me, ladies, I’m just trying to do business.

Second, this happened.

Conor’s swag stays rock hard at all times. The mink with the red form fitting shirt underneath is exactly what you need to wear to the company Christmas party this year. I have no pulse for what percentage of our readers love/hate/or even care about Conor, but the man is electric. I don’t know if this press conference matches the bottle throwing contest he and Nate Diaz had a few months back, but it’s close. We almost had the lightweight champion of the world taking a chair to the dome for god’s sake. Staged? Who cares. I watched the whole thing because it had nothing to do with Trump, Hillary, Obama, or angry college kids.

Now’s as good of a time as ever to get into the fight game. Hell, you probably know more than I do, and I’m all in.
