As an Atlanta native, I miss the Thrashers like crazy and still hold a bit of a grudge against the former ownership group, NHL brass.
That being said, I believe it’s a matter of marketing and brand development. For example, look at what the Premier League and the FIFA video games have done for soccer popularity in this country. If the NHL follows that model, I believe there is some promise.

This piece is spot on. I’ve seen Dave Matthews 7 plus times, catching his tour with Tim Reynolds post Memorial Day. I caught Widespread Panic a few weeks back, Avett Brohers in a few weeks. My goal is to catch Sturgill in Atlanta in July, dude kills it.
