This is a hard moment to see pass. PGP has given me so much over the last three years, and TSM for the years before that. It’s taken me through two jobs, four cities, and a lot of bad tinder dates. It’s given me friends all over the country.
It gave me my fiancé.
Thank you to the writers and the content creators who helped foster such an intense community. Your work has been very much appreciated to all of us through the years.
Through inside jokes, vacays, orgies, pondering over Girl, discussions of brunch and work life, I’m happy to have had this community for so long, and I know it will live on in other spaces.
I had to say goodbye to my 17 year old Biscuit boi a couple weeks back. It was the hardest day of my life. I’d had him since I was 10. Hug your good boys. Take them for walkies and rides. They aren’t around forever.
Pour one out for PGP. Unfortunately I feel like more and more readers will drift away despite the amazing community that’s been generated here. I’ve met many of my friends as well as my fiancé through this site, so no matter what happens it’ll be near to my heart.
The worst is when family/friends keep starting new text threads and then someone reuses an old one and all the info gets jumbled… or you have 12 identical text threads. Because all your friends are green texters.
Tbh I doubt Muffy shops at C&B (“it’s not authentic antique from the 1700s? It’s not from an exclusive imported boutique?!”) but for us plebes, C&B is definitely the realm of wedding registries and the Gold Coast elite.
Two very close friends of mine are bailing on HC for a wedding this year. I’m hoping I still see a good turn out this year though- having gone to college in the Midwest, I’m even running out of weddings-as-get-togethers and I’m only 26.
@PaidHourly and I just saw the Mighty Mighty Bosstones at the HoB in Chicago last month, I think it was Frank Turner in Philly at the Fillmore before that. A few of us were at FIDLAR at the Vic last week. Not sure who is next though.
Tbh no, he’s right- koozies aren’t a thing in Chicago. They’ve never been a thing, solely relegated to junk drawers. That being said, a year living on the east coast brought me to the light- koozies are absolutely useful.
Honestly, not only are you treating PTO as solely time for taking trips, you’re treating it as solely time for full blown expensive trips. Get a couple cases of beer and spend a couple long weekends camping up in MI or WI before the winter sets in. Bring the boys and get trashed in the woods. You don’t have to hit the Caribbean every time.
I was lucky my boyfriend was willing to relocate to where my family is, and we have relatively easy access to visiting his. Though tbh if mine leaves … who knows when they’ll be getting a visit. God knows I didn’t bother often when I lived halfway across the country.
I’m all in on the two handed stein grasp. Especially once you’re past the first… the real question is, why are you only frequenting beer halls in the fall? They’re excellent summer day-drinking venues.
I’m working all weekend to ensure y’all can get to your fun. On the fun side, I tore up Fridays with the pilots yesterday and spent the evening watching Bull Durham. Here’s to rounding out the weekend with more hot tub and Netflix.
I must be such an old person tbh- my hobbies include reading, knitting, and golf. I used to very much enjoy gardening, but because I’m not home 5 days a week… can’t really take care of the yard myself. Driving around also used to be a fun hobby. Lately @paidhourly and I have taken to mastering pinball and frequenting arcades.

Cheers nerds, I’ll see you on the outside.

I think she did something in PR? Or marketing? Both?

I mean you’re right, but girls like the shiny.

Cheers bro I’ll drink to that

There’s no way Girl would be caught anywhere near 87th street in Chicago (are they registering at the Marshalls right off the Dan Ryan? Probably not).
In New York however, there’s plenty of shopping around 87th st both in Manhattan and Queens.

Great choices, but in what world are any of these obscure movies?

So walk out and leave?

Or indulging in anything else that comes your way. I say I’ve seen Less Than Jake… but the memories are…hazy.
