Independence Day is one that I’ll always stop for on TV. It was just starting when I got to my layover hotel the other day and my plans of hitting the gym went out the window in favor of a good movie on tv.
The bridal party will likely be the only friends invited in most cases. Even still, I’ve only ever seen this done at someone’s house and not an outside venue… which is the far preferable (and cheaper!) move overall.

I’ve lived in two apartments with dedicated beer fridges- in college it was almost exclusively stocked with 30 racks of Hamm’s or PBR, these days it’s local beers from all over I bring back from layovers mostly. In any case, it’s always been an excellent move.
“Hide them at the bottom of the bag”? Are you still using plastic grocery bags? Also… trash take. I don’t want my food spoiling when I can’t get it home fast enough.
I grew up in Chicago, lived in Manhattan for a year, and live in DC now. While Chicago will always be my favorite city, New York is far from trash. The airports are horrible and there’s a stank over the city from June-August, sure. But the sheer amount of things to do and see all over the city far outweigh the negatives.
Many of the vids people are mentioning really started earlier as flash videos… YouTube circa 2007 to me was home to terrible thing like YTP videos. Also… hide yo kids, hide yo wife. A defining video of college.

Dude, classic cinemas chain. There’s like 10 through the Chicago area, they still do free refills on popcorn and drinks.
