Told myself I would try sober February cause it’s shorter than January… Booked an impromptu trip to Charleston for Presidents Day weekend, remembered the super bowl was 2/4, and gave up on that plan before it even started. There’s always 2019
agreed 100%. speaking of groupons, I’ve found a few awesome deals for wine tasting rooms that were a ton of fun and insanely cheap. $30 got me & my gf a winery history/education, 7 or 8 wines each (pretty heavy pours too), and we each got a bottle to bring home. Couldn’t recommend those enough, but groupons are definitely not a first date move
The nod to Charlie and the noble field of Bird Law did not go unnoticed. The lawyer was one of my favorite recurring characters, possibly #1 with Cricket coming in a close 2nd
First guy: I feel like you can plan the date around having the gift card to get it out of the way and not seem cheap. Just let her know you thought of her when you got the gift and wanted to treat her to a meal. Also, go get a drink elsewhere after dinner to show that you’re not only bringing her somewhere that’s free
Oddly enough Lil Dicky, of all people, has a song with a great music video entitled Molly that’ll make everyone think of that one that got away. It’s Mal for me
I always tried to pull out the chair at restaurants (Mom raised me to do that for the lady), half the time my gf thinks I’m doing it cause I’m getting into that chair myself and simply grabs her own. I feel like that tradition has fallen by the wayside
First post-grad NYE where we all chose to have a fun, yet casual, house party and I’ve never felt better about that decision. Also it left us relatively fresh for a wild Mummers Parade day in Philly (basically no rules and it’s hands down more fun than any New Year’s Eve party)
Go cats, time to roll on Hofstra. I’d actually recommend Garage Bar > Frankford. Frankford is a classic but Garage is a fun way to mix it up (north and south philly options too).
well if Meghan Markle and Suits have taught me anything, one of the next potential career moves for strong females in corporate law is to become British royalty, so that’s kinda cool
New company policy means no rollover PTO so I have 6 days in the office during the month of December. Productivity is at an all time low even when I’m at my desk
I feel like a few commenters just finished law school and the bar exam – I’d love to see a column on what the early days of being a lawyer are like. I imagine it’s hell but that probably varies on concentration and firm culture
username most certainly checks out

100% agree – I usually get a haircut about 3 weeks after I realize I need a haircut, so I’ll rock a hat when it starts to get out of control
*Burn in Hell, lol,

This sounds like a weather version of Aziz Ansari discussing nicknames in parks and rec

Ticket to ride is a criminally underrated game – great choices. Also it’s sneakily easy to get quite drunk at board game nights
My Wildcats slid right back into the top spot (tbh WVU deserves it more, but oh well)

This is tremendous investigative journalism. Amazing what a few days off during the holidays can enable you to do

Well they do deserve to see what a typical day in college is like

I was a big fan of the Nived vs. Jimbo Fischer rivalry that seemed to be going for a little while
