The captions start because it seems kind of dumb to just post dog pictures with the same caption of “Here is a dog.” over and over ad infinitum. Those posts are happy posts. I’d rather have that than my racist aunt posting racist shit all over my feed. I do not like this article.
I’m old enough that the divorces/ custody battles have started from the people that got married to the first person they banged in college. I am HERE for the dramatic posts on that though.
Out of all the articles on this site, THIS is the one that spam person didn’t put the “I made $8k this month sitting at home. My divorced friend with kids made $12k..”? Missed opportunity, Jobzone.
When my bf and I discussed moving in together we had the same situation. He makes about $30k more than I do. We split rent, pet supplies, and groceries equally and he pays for all utilities, cable, nights out etc. He didn’t have a problem paying more (he suggested this division, btw, not me just demanding to pay less) because he makes more so I’m not sure why it’s so out of the question to have a situation like this with him. $15k difference is a lot.
To the politics person, you don’t see them enough to start saying stuff. If you saw them everyday and they had an actual chance of changing their minds I’d say speak up. But it sounds very much like a grin and bare it situation otherwise it’s just a lot of extra drama for not much of a payoff.
Based on the title I thought this was going to be about being careful what you post because there are fucking creeps out there. But I am a prosecutor so I see way more awful shit than the general public. As an addition to the actual post, I am fb friends with someone who posts their kid going to the bathroom and then a subsequent picture of the toilet with the pee/poop in it with like a “yay! potty training!” So ya know, don’t be psychotic also with your posts.
I don’t think it’s wrong to still be picky even though you don’t have a job. If you don’t feel like you’ll like the job six months down the road but are just taking it to get a paycheck back you’re going to be miserable. But I completely understand where you’re coming from. Good luck! It sounds like you have some great leads!
