Watching your parents age and realizing they are not, in fact, immortal has been a tough change for me post-grad, but I try and make the time I do spend with them as meaningful as I can, so I guess there is a positive to change.
Friend’s Hawaiian themed 30th birthday tomorrow while watching the undergrad and law school football teams dominate and then hungover Sunday watching NFL on the couch.
I nannied in college. I had to go to the parent teacher conferences because the parents worked so much and new nothing about their own kids. It was really fucking sad. Pay was great though.
I think it’d be cool to give us a quick little blurb about why stuff goes away. Where are the Flanigans of Fairfield County? What happened to Micah Monday? What happened to Grant and his dad?
When I traded in my old VW that got me through high school, college, law school and the Bar I cried even though I was upgrading to a Lexus. It’s the memories and what it represents.
