I’ve never heard of any BC methods that prevent the shedding of the uterine lining. Most BC Pills that have estrogen prevent ovulation (release of an egg) but there are also pills and IUDs that are progestin-only (no estrogen) which can still allow ovulation but the hormones in them make the lining of the uterus a shittier environment for a fertilized egg to live in, so the embryo can’t ‘attach’ to the uterus, so to speak.
