I’ve spent the last 2 Christmas’s alone. Last year, had a new job and couldn’t take off extra days, so while my family went to visit a brother in Charlotte, I flew to from Minneapolis to Chicago for Xmas Eve & Day and just bummed around the city. Devoured a large deep dish for my Xmas meal and then drank all night with a group of random Irishmen in a local dive bar. Holidays alone are actually pretty grand.
Val from Brink (same actor as Spike) needs to be at least an honorable mention. The whole “using Brink’s dad getting laid off as a way to sign a top-notch skater to Team X-Bladz” (i.e. come over to the dark side, we make money) is pure sports villain-esque.
Flying out to Vegas Saturday afternoon with a trio of buddies. Slightly frightened with staying 3 nights, but copped the parents’ time share on the Strip and they have a 3 night min policy. T&P for my bank account, liver, and overall life in general.
I have way too many friends out west who’ll finish 5 out the 6 on the way up, but leave that last precious beer for the peak and tent set-up. I guess I don’t see it any different than drinking while playing volleyball/softball/tailgate 2-hand.
I second all of this. It’s fun when it’s a big rivalry game, OSU-Michigan/UMN-Wisconsin, but November tailgating would be non-existent if we didn’t have that.
Also, don’t forget that Pac-12 tailgating can get it. Washington games on the lake is a blast.
Reminder that Jimmy Brooks from Degrassi is dropping his album next month. We all know what God’s Plan and Nice for What did to our Instagram captions.
Moved into a 300 sqft. studio in Seattle a couple years ago with 4 bags of clothes and $500 in my bank account. Only needed a small amount of everything (furniture, plates, utensils, towels, etc.). The “living alone”/minimalist lifestyle is hands down the way to go. Everything’s on your own time, don’t have to worry about roommates moving your stuff (shoes, keys, food, etc.), and most of the time you just want to lay around and watch Netflix after a full day at work/gym/store anyways.
I have this same situation with moving back to MN from Seattle. Loved the weather out there. Yeah, it’s cloudy and rains a lot, but it’s still 40+ degrees. Throw on a rain jacket, some boots and hit the trails. Also, you don’t have to shovel rain. But here I am, praying for the first day of 60 and sunny this spring.

Sure! People have other hobbies, they just drink during them (i.e. painting, hiking, traveling, softball/volleyball leagues, trivia, etc.).
That $1 blackjack on Friday nights at Mystic can get it. Big fan (aka I don’t lose my money as quickly).
Michael Clayton leaving is devastating. Peak Clooney. Hot and bothered is an understated emotion even after the 10th viewing.
Got the promotion! Time to go drink my weight in alcohol in celebration this weekend.
Reading this while applying to other jobs as a fall back for if my promotion interview this afternoon falls through.
Just this morning a bride posted 7 pictures in a 30 minute span of her wedding 2 months ago. Not what I wanted to wake up to.

Tanner’s Mom, Sup?
Middle School sucked, but the music we listened to was the best. I’ll head bang to Sugar, We’re Goin Down ’til the day I die.
Mich Golden Light is the only beer I need in my cooler

Sad to see Cadet Kelly go… Lizzie McGuire can get it.

Hey Goose, you big stud!
