It is not at all hard to know whether you’d want to move in/live with someone without actually living with them. It’s how I’ve never had a bad roommate since my very first one in college. Also, knowing you want to marry someone also isn’t hard, if you can picture a life (and look forward to it) with someone and are willing to put in the effort, that’s someone you can marry. TL;DR: Love is a choice not a feeling.

I would argue we don’t need more regulation. I think we should just let the market work with this one. United is taking a huge PR hit, their stock will plummet and they’ll lose out on customers, then they’ll change their policy so it doesn’t ever happen again. This guy will get a huge settlement, and customers will be better served when other companies take advantage of United’s fiasco and provide better service.
