Maybe for motivational purposes that is an ok strategy, but the truth is that your body does not process 100 calories of almonds the same way it does a 100 calorie cookie. Fiber content in vegetables, nuts, etc. keeps your blood sugar from spiking and thus prevents your body from storing fat.
