  • oilbust 6 years ago on Why Do Office Baby Showers Exist?

I work in a fortune 100 company, and we have these every time someone has a wedding or baby. So this does in fact happen at large corporations. It is so awkward and cringe worthy, basically everyone is there pretending to give a crap.

  • oilbust 6 years ago on Are Handjobs Officially Extinct?

I used to know an older fellow from New York who would tell me that where hes from, a blowjob is like a handshake. I can only imagine what he thought a handjob was like.

So you’re 21 and went out with a 30 year old? Trust me, you didnt need to jump through all these hoops to make it look like you had your stuff together. He would have been just as happy to see you/hook up with you if you were still in college and living with your parents.

  • oilbust 6 years ago on Wait, Is 26 Considered Late-Twenties?

Biggest difference in early/mid 20’s and late 20’s is how you get drunk.

early/mid 20’s – get drunk on domestic beers, well drinks, shots, basically anything.

late 20’s/early 30’s – wine, craft beers, craft cocktails.

  • oilbust 6 years ago on Just Because Something's "Good" Doesn't Mean It's "Right"

I think there are certain personality types that will never be content with what they have, and will always long for more. That unspoken feeling that I will be happier if: I moved to a better city, found a better job, found a perfect 10 spouse, made more money etc. Well the truth is none of that exists. The same issues and monotony that existed in your previous city/job, will exist in the next stop. I am this way as well.

I think the trick is to truly appreciate what you have and be thankful for your life. We will never truly be 100% happy, and thats ok, we are not made to be this way. That dream city/job/spouse doesnt really exist, they all have faults.

  • oilbust 6 years ago on The Douchiest Ways To Ask Your Waiter For The Check

I worked in a restaurant for several years and none of these moves are douchebag at all. The worst douchebag move was the guy who insisted on paying for everyone at the table, and handing you his card in secret when he first arrived. So now you are responsible for holding on to his Black AMEX for the entire meal, and praying you dont lose it.

  • oilbust 6 years ago on Mailbag: Girls Asking Guys On Dates, Getting Iced Out Of Weddings, And Is It Cheating If...?

To the girl who is not invited to your guy friends weddings; there is a reason why. Would you invite your fiancee’s lady friend who he hooked up with several times to your wedding?? Probably not. Once you’ve seen someone naked then you are truly not “just friends” anymore. I would be livid if my current girlfriend brought around one of her guy friends that shes hooked up with before. There is an old saying someone told me that women dont trust other women with only guy friends because she will likely sleep with their boyfriend. Fair or not, I think thats whats going on here.

To the online dating question. I met my girlfriend on Tinder, and when people ask us how we met (which is all of the time), I just say “we met online” and leave it at that. No need to get into specifics of which dating app you met on. By saying you met online, people can assume you met on one of the more respectable sites like match.com or eharmony.

  • oilbust 6 years ago on The 5 Stages of Grief When You Start Losing Your Hair

Ive been balding/thinning for over ten years. Tried every single thing on the market: propecia, rogaine, nioxin. All of them have bad side effects, my advice is to just forget about all of those products and just focus on everything else. You will lose all of your hair eventually, those products will only slightly delay the inevitable.

Work on your entire image: your looks, style, physique, money, confidence. After a while you will forget about your hair loss and so will everyone else. Keep your hair short and tight. Losing your hair really sucks but dont let it control your life!

Yes! If you ever meet someone that claims to be from Houston, theres a good chance they are from one of the suburbs (Katy, Cypress, Woodlands, Spring, Sugarland), and not from Houston proper.

  • oilbust 7 years ago on Dave Ramsey Is My Dawg Now

If you make $100k, 15% of your salary in a 401k and maxing out a Roth IRA would be about $20,500 per year. Thats about 20.5% of your total salary, not really all that much.

  • oilbust 7 years ago on Dave Ramsey Is My Dawg Now

Following the advice in his book “Total Money Makeover” helped me get out of $25-30k in debt (student loans, credit cards) and be more responsible with my money. He is a savior for the financially irresponsible. Debt is what keeps us working as slaves to the system for the rest of our lives. The best day of my life was paying off all my debt and being debt free!

  • oilbust 7 years ago on Mailbag: A Porn-Obsessed Boyfriend, The Breakup Text, And Approaching Someone At The Gym

To the bald guy, I have been balding/thinning for quite some time so I feel your pain. I am in my early 30’s with thinning hair, yet I’ve never had more success with women at any point in my life, than I do now. You have to focus on other aspects of your life that will make you more confident with women: working out, career/money, clothes, hobbies etc. Women are attracted to confidence more than anything else. Once I got my career and finances in order, I became more confident, and that has translated to more success with women!

  • oilbust 7 years ago on Being Called "Daddy" In Bed: Sexy Or Creepy?

I can confirm that as a guy, being called daddy is extremely hot to me. I would say that 75% of the girls I have been with like calling me daddy, while the other 25% find it creepy or odd.

I am also Latino, so maybe it has a different meaning for me?

  • oilbust 7 years ago on Dating Apps Aren't Dead (If You Use Them Correctly)

I agree with you sir. I met my last and current gf on Tinder, after years of having no luck on all the apps. The problem is, similar to finding a job, you cant just rely on one thing to find a gf/job. People complain that they cant find another job because a recruiter wont respond to them, or they filled out one job application and nothing. Well theres a million ways to find a job these days, try them all! Same with dating, if you want to find a significant other, do whatever/everything it takes: dating apps, ask friends/family if they know any single people, join social clubs, sports leagues, networking events, approach someone at a grocery store etc. and your odds will go up!
