You don’t need to text her every day but I bet she’d appreciate a “like” on social media here and there so she knows you’re still interested. And when you’re both back in town, you can text her something along the lines of “Hey, I still owe you a drink. Let’s get together this week.”
At least she had the integrity to give it a good shot, and then be honest that she didn’t see you as more than a friend. It hurts, but she did it with respect. That’s a rarity these days.

This is SO true. For both men and women. You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay. Personalities clash, people have different preferences, it happens. And sure it sucks to be on the receiving end of a rejection but we’ve all rejected people ourselves and the majority of the time it’s nothing personal, we just aren’t into it. You can’t base your self worth off of what a few guys or girls think of you.
The amount of people I know/know of who lie about cancer absolutely blows my mind, especially as a healthcare worker. I don’t know where those people get off.
