Achilles tendon ruptures are rough, but the operation usually has pretty good outcomes in restoring function, especially in a city like Boston with a lot of experienced orthopedic surgeons (even though I’m sure it doesn’t feel great now). Hope you recover quickly!
For me personally, one year almost definitely wouldn’t be long enough but it depends on age/maturity, goals, and experiences together (ex) just going on dates vs. actually living together for a while etc).
It’s all about the 10 year plan (or at least that’s what I’ve been telling myself to attempt to feel a little better every time I get notifications about my student loans).
