Regardless of whether someone should be given another chance (sometimes they should), I thought he handled the conversation with her poorly. Seemed almost aggressively defensive and came off sleazy. Was not a fan.
A lot of good advice has already been said, so I won’t rehash it in my comment. As far as the pickpockets – I really wouldn’t carry your wallet in your back pocket. It’s a surprisingly big problem and I know many people who had it happen to them. Carry it in your front pocket and if your girlfriend carries a purse always be aware of how it’s being carried.
I learned some basic french phases on YouTube right before I went. Would recommend Wolter’s world videos or other travel channels for that.
Check out the Dow Jones bar in Barca. Had tons of fun here and the drink prices fluctuate with demand, so they have ticker boards all around the bar to show the price movements.
Just went to a concert solo a couple of nights ago, and about halfway through ran into a couple of people I know. Just own it exactly how Dillon said and it’s fine. To me it shows you’re confident and comfortable on your own.
