Agreed. I have been a server at three different Applebee’s (lol) in MN and IA, and it was the same in all three locations. Older people were rude as shit and didn’t tip. My 83 year old grandpa thinks a $3.00 tip on a $50.00 meal is standard. I completely agree that if service is shit, tip accordingly. The only time I didn’t tip was when I was insulted by a hipster server in Minneapolis.
I, too, have chaperoned a middle school dance. However, I do currently teach 7th graders. I applaud you for suffering through that evening. I guess for me, being in middle school every single day again, I try to focus on helping those kids that are super socially awkward to try and make middle school suck a little less. I am so glad that we didn’t have phones in middle school. That shit makes everything ten times worse.
I wish we had more teachers like you in our building. I subbed for a year before I got my full time gig, and I loved subbing in SPED. You’re exactly right. They’re always excited and full of life! I love all 130 of my students, and I love knowing that for many of them, I’m one of their brightest points in their day. They all come to school from different home lives and experiences. I’m licensed to teach in both Iowa and Minnesota, and I’m lucky that, for the most part, both states still value education.
My husband and I did not live together until after we were married. Honestly, it was incredibly exciting moving in together after our wedding, and I absolutely love being married. I have heard, on more than one occasion, that people that have lived together for a few years before getting married aren’t nearly as excited about getting married because nothing really changes. However, at the end of the day, I honestly give zero fucks about what other people do. On the flip side of that, people shouldn’t give two shits what I do either.
I’ve actually watched it twice, and was recently thinking about starting it up for a third time. I’ve been to the Eagle’s Nest so I always enjoy that episode. I do agree, though, Pacific isn’t as good, but still enjoyed it for the simple fact that I am a history person.
A Sunday wedding??…..But you really don’t need to bring anything else if you already sent the gift ahead of time. Good luck with the whole “how much should I drink?” question. I have screwed that up royally too many times. (On both sides of the coin, too. Couple weddings I didn’t drink nearly enough, but I have also become blackout drunk sooooo…)

Agreed. We keep our house at about 64 in the summer, and about 61 in the winter. I can add layers, but I can only take so many off.

Gilmore Girls fans are also pretty terrible. They’re usually the same people that are obsessed with Friends.
Man buns are gross. (Let the down votes roll in.)
Was in a wedding this last weekend with every Millennial cliche possible. PGP
