Exactly. As a small business owner myself (I actually do own a business, brick and mortar) it’s frustrating to see people act like they actually own a business when they don’t. The work that goes into it is insane and it’s a slap in the face to anyone who has actually built a small business from the ground up. Half of them probably don’t even know what a P&L statement or business expense plan is.
Agreed on most of this. I get the whole open bar thing but I’m not going to fund my friends and people I hardly know to get drunk on my wedding night. Probably an unpopular opinion but I’m not trying to foot a $5000 bar tab. Open bar for 2 hours then cash bar the rest of the night. Can’t afford it? Don’t buy any more.
This also works well in the workplace for most folks. “Action cures anxiety” I was told. Being in a mostly sales roll in my position right now, sitting there worrying about not hitting your numbers does no good. Make a contrary action and pick up that phone or meet folks you’ve been hemming and hawing over in fear of rejection. A lot of times it works out better than anticipated and completely turns your day and attitude around.
Agreed. Me and my current gf had some “fun” on the first date (I know, look at me) and it terrifies me that she could technically go back to that night and be like “oh I was uncomfortable that night when we had sex” and claim abuse. When it was far far from it (obviously both consented.)
It’s become a very slippery slope between ruining someones career/life over false or exaggerated allegations and continuing the prosecution of actually legitimate cases.
I’m all about celebrities eating crow over politics (not calling sexual assault “politics” but you know what I mean) but that accusation seems pretty BS from what I’ve seen. “I let you Finger me and I was uncomfortable now that I think about it. So….. now you assaulted me even though I consented.”
Thanks for this. Everyone’s always like “just eat breakfast and drink some water and you’ll be fine.” Yeah 86% of the time I want nothing to eat or drink after a night of hard drinking unfortunately. I’m usually lucky to keep 2 Advil down long enough with the water.
I like my new girlfriend’s outlook on this: If you like the person and want to talk to them, do it. Not to shit on the article but putting timeframes on when and how often you’re “allowed” to text someone is sort of dumb. If you’re going to talk, you’re going to do so whether you text a day after or an hour after. Stop thinking about it so much it’s really trivial in the big picture.
Happened to me last year right after me and my other ex just broke up (I think she still stalked me.) Needless to say I agreed to go get beers (I don’t know why) and things went from there. They went downhill fast, but they went.
lmao

Yeah, because not getting married in a church is a compromise a couple should make out of respect for their guest’s reception preferences.
So do they sleep on the couch or……

I laughed way too hard at this.
Sort of like how Jalen Ramsey guaranteed a Superbowl victory for the Jags?

Can you co-sign my mortgage?
Can’t stand the Packers or Rodgers. Also a Lions fan.
Thanks mom.
Pussy
I was just gonna say this but you already said this so now I’m not gonna say this.

Never turn down a warm lead. At least take a seat at the proverbial table.
What the fuck is a white “cis” straight male? Jesus Christ.

TLDR: 100% go for it.
